About Four in a Row
Four in a Row is a fast, clever game: a board of 7 columns and 6 rows, where each player drops a disc into a column and it settles in the lowest empty square. The first to line up four discs in a straight line wins.
The rules take seconds to explain, so it suits young players, but beating Ghada on Hard takes real planning. Play it with your family on the same device in quick rounds that last just a few minutes.
📖 How to play
- Choose to play against Ghada (Easy, Medium, or Hard) or two players on the same device.
- Tap any square in the column you want, and your red disc drops to the lowest empty spot in it.
- Take turns: one disc for you and one for your opponent.
- Line up four discs in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win. If the board fills up without four in a row, it's a draw.
💡 Tips for winning and earning more points
- The middle column is the strongest because it's part of the most possible lines of four, so start there.
- Always watch your opponent: if they have three in a row with an empty square, block it right away.
- Create two threats at the same time, since your opponent can't block both.
- Watch the square under your threat: if you fill it yourself, you might open a winning path for your opponent.
